James Gargan
Commercial Director - P Pod Seating
James Gargan‘s role as Commercial Director at Beechfield Healthcare has been significant in steering the company’s strategic direction and expansion, particularly in the distribution of P Pod Seating. Since joining the management team in 2016, he has infused the company with his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic insights, significantly impacting growth and innovation.
Beechfield Healthcare became the national distributor of P Pod in Ireland in 2019. James’s enthusiasm for the product is evident from his belief in its importance for 24-hour postural care and the visible benefits it brings to users. His proactive approach didn’t stop at national distribution; he quickly moved to introduce P Pod to an international audience, reflecting his commitment to broadening access to this innovative piece of seating equipment.
James exemplifies the core values of Beechfield Healthcare, focusing on exceeding customer expectations and enhancing service quality. His efforts ensure that the company not only grows but also maintains strong, lasting partnerships while continuing to deliver innovative solutions that improve lives both in Ireland and internationally.
Tim Newby
Business Development Director - P Pod Seating
Tim Newby is the Business Development Director at Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, the parent company of Specialised Orthotic Services Ltd.. He joined DeVilbiss Healthcare in 1996 and has held many positions in the organisation especially in International Sales and Marketing.
At Drive DeVilbiss he is commercially responsible for the strategic direction of SOS (Specialised Orthotic Services) Ltd. and has been instrumental in developing the P Pod International concept with Beechfield Healthcare. Tim remains committed to promoting awareness of the P Pod to the widest possible audience and making it as easy as possible to acquire.
Bart Van der Heyden
Clinical Lead - P Pod Seating
Bart is an advocate on 24-hours postural management and serves as a clinical resource.
Bart has specialized in the field of seating, wound care and mobility for the past 27 years. After studying physical therapy in Gent, Belgium, he gained experience in Germany providing seating and therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy. After working in a rehab setting in the USA he offered clinical consultations to wheelchair users, clinicians and manufacturers worldwide. He has also started a physical therapy practice with his wife in Belgium.
Bart has developed multiple training courses and workshops on skin management, seating assessment, 24-hours postural management, seating techniques & interventions for different user populations. He has presented for seating specialists all over the world and he developed a seating approach for clinical problem solving and maximizing outcomes.
Bart is known as a skilled and experienced clinician and presenter with a global, hands-on and multi-disciplinary view on clinical practice and seating.
Filipe Monforte Correia
Brand Ambassador - P Pod Seating
Filipe Monforte Correia is a distinguished professional in the healthcare and mobility industry, bringing extensive experience in international sales and management to his role as Brand Ambassador for P Pod Seating. Beginning his career in 2008 as an International Sales Manager at Stealth Products, today Filipe holds various influential positions, including LATAM Sales Manager at Quantum Rehab and Pride Mobility Products Corporation.
Filipe’s academic background includes studying at the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 1992 to 1998. His specialties include seating and positioning, electronics and power chairs, manual active and passive chairs, skin protection, and sales management. Filipe is particularly skilled at developing new markets, supporting existing ones, and providing clinical and technical training to local distributors and clinicians.
In his new role as Brand Ambassador for P Pod Seating, Filipe will leverage his extensive experience and network to support the growth and success of the P Pod seating system in both new and existing markets.
